Muhammad Ali Laashaari has extensive experience in corporate, banking and securities laws, data protection laws, anti money laundering and counter terrorism financing laws, and has deep practical knowledge of the regulations and legal implications of global banking, electronic transactions and digitalization. He is currently advising several tech and non-tech companies.

During his career spanning over more than two decades he has represented banking and insurance companies in civil and corporate litigation, advised multinationals on cross-border contracts involving East Asia and Europe and beyond, structured hundreds of transactions for corporate and individual clients, represented them before courts, tribunals and in arbitration and appeared as a defense counsel in multifaceted trials including white collar crimes.

Ali takes keen interest in academia and taught subjects of Interpretation of Statutes and Conveyancing and Pleadings for 4 years - 2008 to 2012 - to final year students at Pakistan College of Law.  He researched judicial system of USA in purview of its Constitution and visited New York Supreme Court for studying impact of jury on the trial proceedings. He completed a graduate course at Harvard with distinction and took courses with Yale University on written and unwritten aspects of the Constitution. He did BSc in 1999 from SEC, LLB in 2002 from BLC, is a member of LBA since 2003 and LHCBA since 2005.
